    Blended & Hybrid

Blended learning is a combination of face-2-face and online learning. Blended learning combines in-person teaching with asynchronous learning methods, where students work on online exercises and watch instructional videos during their own time.

    • Hybrid: Hybrid learning is a teaching method where instructor(s) interact with in-person and remote student(s) at the same time as determined by the instructor. In hybrid learning models, asynchronous teaching methods can be used to supplement synchronous, face-to-face instruction.
    • Hyflex: Hyflex learning is a teaching method where instructor(s) interact with in-person and remote student(s) at the same time as determined by the student. In hyflex learning models, asynchronous teaching methods can be used to supplement synchronous, face-to-face instruction.
    • Flipped: Flipped learning is a teaching method, where instructor(s) engage student(s) in active learning during class time at a shared physical location, whereas assign student(s) lecture materials and presentations to be viewed at home or outside of class.
