Description
Undergraduate students are challenged to design and build a car powered by chemical or biochemical energy sources to travel a specified distance and stop within a set time.
The competition offers a team-oriented, hands-on opportunity for undergraduates in chemical engineering to design, construct, and test a chemically powered model car, emphasizing safe chemical reaction control.
AIChE® and KFUPM Invitation
Qatar University is cordially invited to participate in the 4th AIChE Middle East Regional Chem-E-Car Competition® at MEPEC2024, hosted by King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) from May 6-8, 2024.
This year marks the first time the competition will be held in Saudi Arabia, alongside MEPEC’s Youth Program (ChemME), featuring career guidance, CEO talks, networking, and an industrial tour.
Global Competition Opportunity
The top three teams will earn a spot in the global competition at the AIChE Annual Student Conference in the United States, from October 25-28, 2024.
