Dr. Khaled Youssef, Associate Professor in the Materials Science and Technology Program for the Research Excellence Award in Sciences, recognized by the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), Qatar University. This research award is given annually to recognize the most outstanding CAS researchers in arts and sciences, and to promote excellence in research that responds to societal needs in line with Qatar’s 2030 vision. Dr. Youssef is quite active in research and his specific areas of interest include photovoltaic (PV) materials, thermoelectric materials and nanocrystalline and ultra-fine grained materials. |

Ms. Taghreed Al-Gunaid for the Best Thesis Award in the Applied Science and Technology field at the College of Arts and Sciences. Taghreed is one of our enthusiastic and hard-working students, in the Materials Science and Technology Master Program. She joined the program in 2019 Spring and made excellent progress in all courses.
