The Department of Educational Sciences is delighted that it provides quality education. The Department makes significant contribution to Qatar's education reform plan Education for a New Era through its undergraduate and graduate programs in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. These degrees include a B.Ed. in Special Education; Graduate Diplomas in Early Childhood Education and Special Education, and a Master’s Degree in Special Education.
The Physical Education Department is unique in the State of Qatar and one of the four cornerstone departments in the College of Education. The department offers a high-quality physical education Bachelor’s program and build around excellence in teaching and high quality contemporary and contextualized research. The curriculum of physical education incorporate the three domains of learning:
- Cognitive (scientific knowledge in sports and health)
- Affective (Attitude)
- Psychomotor (Sport skills)
The Physical Education Department prepares outstanding physical education teachers and practitioners who are skilled, competent and committed to the development and enhancement of physical education in schools as well as contributing towards improving physical activity, health and wellbeing for healthy people and people with special needs.
The department aims to prepare art educators using a holistic approach that keeps abreast with the most recent developments of educational methodologies. It develops their intellectual and cognitive abilities, as well as their skills in all technical and educational fields, thus preparing them to meet the requirements of the labor market. Additionally, it offers them field-training opportunities in schools, and provides them with research, leadership and innovative skills. All of this equips our educators with the ability to advance the wheel in the artistic field to keep up with the movement of development in the State of Qatar.
