Towards a Life-Long Learning
About us
A joint venture launched between the NCED at Qatar University and Reach Out To Asia (ROTA) in 2013 and continues for its sixth year. The collective efficacy in this program is focusing on “Project- Based Learning” which is currently being implemented in Qatari Public Schools. The initial efforts within the project is a result of the complete cohesiveness between NCED Vision and that is of ROTA to support and create well-equipped teaching staff members who will be able to positively influence students’ learning through projects.
It is a learning approach based on authentic learning activities and employs 21st century skills such as communication, research and inquiry skills, self-assessment and problem solving skills as well as modern technology. The program also fosters the core learning competencies by educators as well as learners.
Learning through projects assessed either individually or collectively in groups. The quality of the product, content understanding and contributions during the implementation of the project are core elements of learning and assessment. Through project–based learning, students allowed the opportunity to voice their ideas and opinions, justify their choices and make decisions based on their learning.
