Introduction
Gateway to Qatar University Program is an initiative established by Qatar University Young Scientists Center to enrich the research capabilities of Qatari youth and equip them with the necessary skills to become future pioneers that will achieve Qatar National Vision 2030. The program aims to increase students’ interest in the STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) through an interactive approach and scientific activities. The program targets pre-university students to ignite their curiosity towards STEM and encourage them to continue their university degrees in STEM fields. The Gateway to Qatar University program is a bridge linking the transition from school to university, to provide students with unique opportunities through scientific workshops and research activities.
Goals
- Attract Qatari students to enroll in STEM fields at Qatar University.
- Enhance creativity and innovation and enrich the scientific knowledge and research experiences among Qatari students in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
- Introduce students to the scientific disciplines at Qatar University, to bridge the gap between the school and the university.
- Link education with industry through site visits (STEM related) according to the preference of the participants.
- Encourage the students to participate in the undergraduate research experiences to promote their interest in different fields of research.
- Introduce students to the requirements of the job market and provide them with the necessary expertise and competencies through applied scientific workshops.

Requirements
The requirements to participate at Gateway to Qatar University program are:
- The participant must be a Qatari citizen.
- Attendance is mandatory for all the sessions.
- Parents' consent is required.
