Qatar University Foundation Program, in collaboration with Teachers of English as a Foreign Language, Qatar (TEFL Qatar), invites presenters to submit proposals for its 3rd Annual International Conference on Language Teaching to be held in Doha, Qatar, April 21 - 22, 2018. Proposals for papers, workshops, teaching tips are expected to address the conference theme: English Language Teaching in Arabia: Changing Needs and Emerging Trends
Proposal Types
- Interactive Workshop (50 minutes)
- Research (25 minutes)
- Approaches to Teaching (25 minutes)
Proposals could fall into one of the following categories
- Task-based Learning
- Learner Autonomy
- Learner Motivation
- Practical Ideas in the Classroom
- Error Correction Techniques
- Critical Thinking
- Action Research
- Classroom Management
- Testing and Assessment
- E-Learning
- Professional Development
Guidelines for Proposal Submission
- Write your name as you would want it to appear on your certificate
- Title: 10 words maximum
- Abstract: 50 words maximum. Published in the conference program.
- Session Description: 250 words maximum. Proposal review will be based on session description.
- Biography: 30 words maximum.
- Acronyms and/or abbreviations should be spelled out.
- Proposals must be submitted through the online proposal submission form.
The deadline for proposal submissions is 26 January 2018

- Presenter Confirmation: 01 March 2018
- Conference Dates: 21 - 22 April 2018
- The Foundation Program is unable to provide financial assistance or secure visas for presenters to attend the conference.
