Public Health Field Experience and Health Education Practicum
Field experience in public health is an internship experience designed to integrate public health theory, knowledge, and skills in a practice setting, which results in a written report that demonstrates problem-solving skills, is overseen by a faculty member, and is designed around a major issue in one of the core disciplines in the degree. Students are evaluated through the following means of assessment: weekly reports, final report and presentation reflecting on their experience, and site supervisors’ evaluation. They must complete all assignments assigned during the training with a minimum score of 60%.
