TOEFL iBT evaluates the ability of an individual to use and understand English in an academic setting. The test is given in English and takes about 4 hours. The four language skills tested are:
1. Listening
2. Reading
3. Writing
4. Speaking
QUTC, along with many other test centers in Qatar (Qatar Foundation, New Horizons, etc.), offers the TOEFL iBT (Internet Based Test).

TOEFL iBT is designed to assess English language skills across a wide range of levels. There is no pass or fail in TOEFL.
For the TOEFL iBT test, candidates will receive four scaled scores and a total score between 0–120. 61 in TOEFL iBT. The minimum score required for getting exemption from the Foundation English Program is 61 in TOEFL iBT.
Candidates must submit the original copy to QUTC Document Controller in the Men's Foundation Building (A06) room # 109. Or, the candidate may also select to send the score report directly to Qatar University, using QU recipient code 8943. Scores are uploaded to BANNER once Qatar University Testing Center receives the original copy of the score report. No photocopy or printouts are accepted.
