QU Enrolled Students Residence Permit Transfer

QU enrolled students who are studying in the university and they have a Qatar residence permit under another sponsor and it will be canceled for any reason (e.g. parent is leaving Qatar OR company will cancel the students residence sponsorship), they may apply for transfer their residence permit from the current sponsor (e.g. company, parent or any other sponsor) to Qatar University sponsorship to continue studying in the University. According to the Scholarships and International Admissions Section prevailing policy QU would not receive residence permit transfer or student visa application from current student with accumulative GPA less than 2.5 or re-instated or re-enrolled or re-admission student

Required Documents

Before completing the residence permit transfer application form below, it is mandatory to check the following required documents and prepare them:

1. Student's passport copy, valid minimum for one year; need the page/s that have students name, Date of Birth, and Passport expiry date.
2. Copy of student’s current residence permit in Qatar.
3. Affidavit of Financial Sponsor to bear the costs of study at the university. The financial sponsor must be a third party, the students are not allowed to sponsor themselves.
4. Copy of passport / Qatar ID card of the financial sponsor
5. Financial documents that reflect the financial capacity of the sponsor to bear the financial expenses (study, living, etc.) of the student during his study at the university:

• The student should submit a "Bank Guarantee" issued by a Qatar local bank in favor of Qatar University with the amount of 20,000 QR = $ 5470, valid for Five years for (Undergraduate & PhD Applicants), Three years for (Masters Applicants) and One year for (ANNS Applicants).

5. Approval letter from student's parent or guardian to transfer the residence permit to QU residence sponsorship. (for Bachelor Degree students ONLY).
6. Complete the "Student Declaration Form".
7. If current sponsor is a person, a copy of passport and Qatar ID card of the current sponsor.
8. If current sponsor is a company, a copy of company’s computer Card (قيد المنشأة) and commercial license.
9. “Enrollment Verification Certificate” in Arabic from the Registration Department that states your enrollment situation.
10. Documents explain the reason of transferring sponsorship request (i.e. Official Layoff Letter for the sponsor) and a copy of the sponsor’s cancelled Qatari residence permit before he leaves Qatar.

NOTES:

1. The University has the right to recognize some of the above conditions as insufficient, or to add extra conditions based on the student's status.
2. Apply online for transfer residence permit and upload the required documents upon the timeline.
