Euthanasia is an important component of animal research. Researchers use humane methods to euthanize their research animals and collect tissue samples. The objectives of this basic training module are:
1. To define humane euthanasia methods in rodent research
2. To understand the importance of Necropsy procedures in rodent research
3. To know organ collection procedures
This training program includes both Theoretical and hands-on instructions. This program offers great opportunity for science and medical students to gain knowledge on the basics of rodent euthanasia, necropsy and organ collection procedures in rodents (rats and mice). Successful participants will be awarded with participation certificate.

Targeted audience:
This basic module- I is restricted only for under graduate students form Health cluster, Biology, and Chemistry departments.
To maintain a good ratio of tutors to participants, only 10 participants will be allowed to attend the course. Preference will be given to undergraduate students (third year and above) who have not previously participated in this program and who have successfully completed the registration process and received a confirmation email.
