Applicants who are eligible for Readmission to Qatar University:

Long Absence: A graduate student with an unapproved absence from the university of more than four consecutive or nonconsecutive regular semesters, excluding students who were granted approval from the Vice President for Students Affairs.

Academic Dismissal: Termination of the student’s university record due to unsatisfactory academic achievement or failure to meet graduation requirements in accordance with the regulating policies.

Withdrawal Under Academic Warning: A student who withdrew one semester while under academic warning.
Student Academic Status after Readmission
- A student who is dismissed from the institution for academic deficiency, and who has been readmitted to the university, may be readmitted with a new record. The courses and grades earned by the student prior to readmission will remain in the new record and on the transcript. However, the student new attendance hours, credit hours, and cumulative average will be counted upon readmission from the beginning. Courses that have been successfully completed at Qatar University and meet the requirements of the new program may be transferred to the new program, in accordance with the conditions and requirements of the credit transfer policy.
- A student who has previously studied at Qatar University, may be admitted once after the dismissal from the university due to leave of absence or long absence, if the student expresses a desire to be readmitted to the same program previously enrolled in at Qatar University.
- A student who left the university during an academic warning period may be readmitted to the same program, provided that the break in study does not exceed one academic semester, with the warning remaining in the student's academic record.
- A graduate student who has been readmitted to his previous program and then dismissed for academic reasons is not eligible for readmission to the same programs.
Required Documents Checklist
Applicants seeking readmission are required to fill in the QU online readmission application and submit the following admission requirements by the announced deadlines:
- Complete the online readmission application with a non-refundable e-payment of 350 Qatari Riyals.
- Upload a passport-size photograph and a copy of the applicant's valid Qatari ID card (Non-Qatari applicants must also upload a copy of their passport) through the online readmission application by the readmission deadline.
- Final, official, and certified university transcript.
- The certificate must be certified by the Ministry of Higher Education or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the country in which the university study took place. The certificate must also be certified by:
- The Qatari embassy in the origin country OR
- The embassy of the relevant country in the State of Qatar.
- The submitted statement must be accompanied by a copy translated into Arabic or English if it is not in one of the two languages.
- Some programs require an official TOEFL or IELTS score report or any equivalent test or any evidence of English language proficiency in accordance with Qatar University policy and
the requirements of each program.
- Two confidential recommendation letters from professors or employers according to the requirements of each program.
- Curriculum Vitae (C.V.) and personal statement.
- A health certificate issued by the State of Qatar must be submitted (with a validity period not exceeding six months from the date of the examination).
- Two identical recent
personal photographs, size 4×6 cm, with a white background.
- International students are eligible to apply for readmission, taking into consideration the possibility of
obtaining a visa, which may affect the implementation of the readmission decision in case of difficulties in obtaining it.
