Change of Academic Major
Graduate students may change their academic major within their particular graduate program with the approval of the Program Director. Students seeking to change their graduate programs need to apply for admission to the new program through the Admissions Department. All admissions requirements and timelines apply.

Authorization request for submmitting required document
The student may need to authorize someone to submit the required documents on his behalf to the Admission Department, please fill out the authorization request below and hand it over to the Admission Department before the deadline for submitting the documents.

New Graduate students may have some difficulties joining programs on their first semester; this application will give chance for new graduate students only to defer their study for one year Maximum during timelines.
Steps to submit Defer Requests.
New Graduate studies students can apply a request “To Whom It May Concern letters” according to their status in our system; we have three types of letters:
- Preliminary acceptance letter - To graduate students who were nominated but still did not submit their documents to admission department.
- Final Acceptance letter – To graduate students who submit all required documents.
- Final Acceptance letter with defer- To graduate students who submit all required documents and applied for defer and the request is approved.

GRE certificate pledge
This application allows PhD students to apply for a pledge of a maximum of one year to submit a GRE certificate, which is a mandatory requirement for admission to Qatar University's doctoral programs.
If student didn’t submit the GRE report within a year, the university has the right to terminate student's enrollment after the pledge period.
