Communication faculty and graduate students throughout Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Europe and the United States are invited to submit research papers for the upcoming issue of Journal of Middle East Media (JMEM). The submission deadline is the end of February each year.

Copyright

Authors are responsible for obtaining permissions from copyright holders for reproducing any illustrations, tables, figures or lengthy quotations previously published elsewhere. Permission letters must be sent to the journal editor.

Refereeing

All submissions will be reviewed by JMEM Editor for suitability for the Journal, before being sent to three anonymous reviewers. Referees may accept, or reject papers or suggest changes to papers which the author(s) will be required to address before publication. Please allow three months for the reviewing process to be completed. JMEM will forward anonymous referees’ comments and recommendations as soon as referees’ reports are received.

Book Reviews 

The reviews should be of books published within the last five ears. The average length of the reviews should be around 1500 – 2000 words. The review must include the following:

• the book title
• the author’s full name
• the publisher’s full name
• the place of publication
• the date of publication
• the number of pages in the book
• the price of the book
• the full name and title of the reviewer

Accepted Articles

Authors whose articles are accepted for publication in JMEM are entitled, free of charge, to two copies of the issue in which their article appears.
