The Executive Legal Training (ELT) Program aims to provide top-notch legal training to legal professionals. Training participants may include judges, lawyers, legal consultants, legal secretaries or assistant, paralegals, lawyers, or law students. The primary goal of ELT is to provide training courses that will assist and contribute to the professional development of legal professionals.
The ELT will offer continuing legal education courses that enhance the legal skills, knowledge, and professionalism of the legal profession in Qatar. The Executive Education Program will also provide training programs or workshops that update the legal profession’s knowledge and understanding of a specific area of law.
The program will be executed in cooperation with (1) members of the CLD; (2) the College of Law and its pool of expert faculty; (3) government legal departments; (4) local, regional, and international law firms; (5) in-house counsels of various companies; (6) the legal departments of non-profit organizations, and (7) the Law Clinic program at Qatar University College of Law.

MORE ABOUT ELT
Location: Courses are taught either at the Qatar University College of Law building, or online.
Duration: Courses are taught in four (4) days for three (3) hour sessions for a total of 12 hours.
Instructors: Course instructors are law professors from Qatar University College of Law, and verified legal experts affiliated with the Centre for Law and Development.
Certificate: Those who complete the course requirements will earn a Certificate of Completion. Course completion does not lead to college degree credit.
Who may register: Legal and non-legal professionals may generally attend the course, but some courses may require a legal background. If so, the requirement will be indicated in the course description.
Co-ed: All training courses offered by the Center for Law and Development’s Executive Legal Training Program are coeducational.
Fees: Course fees are 2,000 QAR per course unless otherwise stated.
Payment: Payment can only be made via credit card through the Qatar University secured payment gateway. The link for payment will be provided in the course brochure and on the list of courses page. Unfortunately, Qatar University policy does not allow for cash payment.
Course Cancellation: All courses are subject to sufficient enrollment of participants. In the event of course cancellation, you will receive an email notification and your course fee will be refunded.
