In order to be awarded the MBA degree, students holding a bachelor’s degree in business or related disciplines need to successfully complete the following courses:
Students admitted into the program may select one of the two concentrations areas Entrepreneurship or Business Analytics, offered by the program or select no concentration.
I- Core Courses: 27 credit hours are required
- ECON 602 Managerial Economics
- ACCT 602 Managerial Accounting for Decision Making
- MAGT 603 Operations Management
- MAKT 604 Marketing Management
- FINA 605 Corporate Finance
- MIST 606 Management Information Systems
- MAGT 612 Business Research Methods
- MAGT 610 Strategic Management
- MAGT 615 Applied Graduation Project
II- Elective Courses: 9 credit hours are required
Students who are not selecting one of the program offered concentration areas must complete 9 credit hours taken from the following courses:

- MAGT 604 Management for Change and Innovation
- MAGT 605 Project Management
- MAGT 607 International Business Management
- MAGT 609 Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management
- MAKT 605 Entrepreneurial Marketing

- MIST 660 Business Analytics
- MIST 670 Data Mining for Business
Concentration in Entrepreneurship Requirements package (9 credit hours)
Students selecting the Entrepreneurship concentration area must complete the following courses:

- MAGT 609 Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management
- MAKT 605 Entrepreneurial Marketing
Concentration in Business Analytics Requirements package (9 Credit Hours)
Students selecting the Business Analytics concentration area must complete the following courses:
MIST 616 Enterprise Resources Planning
MIST 660 Business Analytics
MIST 670 Data Mining for Business
III. Bridging Courses: 12 credit hours are required
Students who hold a Bachelor degree in disciplines other than business are required to pass the following bridging courses prior to taking core/ elective courses.
- MAGT 501 Introduction to Management
- ECON 501 Introduction to Economics
- ACCT 501 Introduction to Accounting
- FINA 501 Introduction to Finance
Bridging Courses Waiving
Non-business students can apply for waiving the bridging courses.The bridging courses that have been earned from an accredited university or an institution recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education in that country.
For each course, the applicant must submit:
- An official transcript showing the obtained grade for the course
- Course description and course syllabus for the course to be waived
The students are advised to consult the Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies. A committee will be assigned to assess each course waiving request. A maximum of 9 credit hours and a minimum grade of ‘B’ will be considered during waived credit evaluation process. The credit hours for the course should be earned within the last five years from the date of admission in Qatar University.
The grades earned in courses accepted to be waived will not be calculated as part of the GPA at Qatar University. However, the credits will count towards the total number of credit hours required for graduation.
