Accreditation, a peer-reviewed external process, encourages academic programs to embrace quality assurance and quality improvement in order to become stronger and better by conforming to educational quality standards specific to nursing education. Having stated that, ACEN accreditation is a hallmark that validates that our bachelor's degree in nursing program meets the highest educational standards. Consequently, students with a degree from an accredited program are advantaged in the job market because employers recognize their education conformed to established guidelines.
The Quality and Accreditation Committee of the College of Nursing oversees and supports accreditation initiatives, ensuring that our bachelor's degree in nursing program is aligned with accreditation and national standards, and promotes the adoption of evidence-based practices within the nursing curriculum and clinical practice, as well as facilitating the integration of the most recent research findings and advancements into the curriculum and clinical guidelines.
The Quality and Accreditation Committee is making a lot of effort to fulfill the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc.'s (ACEN) quality criteria. The members of the Quality and Accreditation Committee have been grouped in accordance with the five ACEN criteria, which are: (1) Administrative Capacity and Resources; (2) Faculty; (3) Students; (4) Curriculum; and (5) Outcomes.
