Despite the demanding nature of its academic program, student life at the College of Medicine is invigorating with its diversified co-educational environment that embraces Qatari values and culture. CMED takes student life beyond the classroom. Students are encouraged to volunteer and reach out to community service activities, participate in world health days and experience leadership opportunities that will help them develop lifelong skills and give them an edge as leading graduates.
GET INVOLVED!
Volunteering and Outreach Opportunities:
Students will find many opportunities to volunteer and participate in internationally recognized health awareness days, both in the College and for the wider community, such as the March for Cancer, debates on how to halt the rise of diabetes, immunization and hypertension awareness campaigns, and many more.
Extra-Curricular Social Activities:
Student-driven extracurricular social activities are organized by the Medical Student Club (MSC) throughout the year, bringing together CMED’s students, faculty and staff. The community regularly looks forward to Shukran Qatar, Chocolate Day, barbecues, iftar, movie nights, sports fun days, and numerous other memorable events, as well as reaching out in cooperation with other colleges for deeper campus involvement.
The MSC is active, dynamic and diversified; it is managed by club officers that are student representatives elected by their peers. It represents the pulse and the vibe of the College of Medicine.
