Student Conference Travel & Elective

For students who request funding for either an oral or poster presentation at international conferences or attending workshops, or going for an elective course/research/observership, this application should be submitted at least 2 months before travel. Since funds are limited and competitive, expenses that are incurred without the (SCETRC) committee approval can be considered ineligible for reimbursement. This support should only be used for travel expenses.

Students are typically supported by (SCETRC) to present at one conference or elective in a single academic year. If funds are available, a request for a second trip may be honored. But, the committee will not consider supporting multiple presentations.

Your application will be reviewed by the (SCETRC) Committee at its next meeting. A decision will usually be made after two weeks of submission of application. Only complete applications will be considered by the committee. To be considered complete, a letter from your mentor supporting the application can be submitted online through the link provided.
