Our vision is to ensure that Procurement and Contracts Department of Qatar University is pioneering and distinct in applying modern and advanced procurement methods.
Mission
Procurement and Contracts Department is responsible for supplying different sectors of the University by implementing modern and efficient procurement methods in line with the Tender and Auction Law and its executive regulations in the State of Qatar and the established policies and procedures of Qatar University.
Objectives
- Promote and develop procurement processes using innovative methods in accordance with procurement and contract policies and procedures
- Develop staff skills and prepare them in line with the vision and mission of Qatar University
- Improving the mechanism of work using advanced electronic systems (EBS and Monaqasat)
- Raise the efficiency of communication between procurement and contracts Department and all employees of the university
- Coordinate purchasing plans for different sectors of the university periodically
- Raising the awareness of the QU community on the procedures followed in the procurement process
