Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) office provides QU community with a healthy, safe and sustainable environment by maintaining the highest possible standards. The office provides services across the University for related matters such as:
Ensuring risk assessments are undertaken and reviewed for all activities.
Conducting safety and Environmental inspections.
Emergency Management; Fire accidents, chemical spills, etc.
Reporting HSE incidents and accidents, and conducting/participating in investigations.
Hazardous waste management.
Campus sustainability management.
Conducting internal audits and inspections on all QU activities and projects, and facilitating external audits.
Raising the awareness through conducting training sessions and ensuring the compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
Monitor greenhouse gas emissions by calculating annual QU carbon footprint.
Drive innovation and change towards circular economy by implementing a Zero Waste programme.
Natural resources conservation by encouraging responsible use of energy and water within the campus.
