At QU Health, The Academic Quality Department is dedicated to the continuous improvement of our undergraduate and graduate programs. The primary goal is to enhance the quality of our competency-based curricula, aligning with market needs, accreditation standards, and national priorities.
Our approach to curriculum enhancement (CE) is faculty-driven with faculty members having the primary responsibility for the content, quality, and effectiveness of the curriculum. They play an integral role in every stage of the CE process which considers outcomes of the academic program reviews (APRs), program learning outcomes assessments (PLOA), and accreditation standards.
Each proposal for curricular change or new program initiation (major, minor, concentration) must undergo a rigorous review and approval process. This process varies depending on the program level (graduate, undergraduate), the nature, and the scope of the proposed changes. The review typically involves multiple stages, including approval from the Department Head, the College Curriculum Committee (or College Academic Council), and the College Dean, before submission to the QU health Curriculum Enhancement Committee (QUH CEC).
For detailed guidance on the processes and templates for CE initiatives, please refer to our provided resources. We are always available to address any of your queries.
