The instructional and learning environment in the chemical engineering program is safe for students and faculty. The Lab and Safety Committee (LSC) in the Department of Chemical Engineering and the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) office at Qatar University provide a healthy, safe, and sustainable environment by maintaining the highest possible standards. LSC and HSE work together to:
- Ensure risk assessments are undertaken and reviewed for all activities.
- Conduct safety inspections.
- Report HSE incidents, and accidents.
- Manage hazardous waste.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
- Manage emergencies such as fire accidents and chemical spills.
