When are classes offered? Can I work full time and be a student?

Classes are only offered in the evenings (3:30 pm-6:30 pm). Each course meets once a week, so most full time students have classes three nights a week. Many of the MSc Materials Science program students work full time in addition to their studies.

Are scholarships available?

While financial scholarships are not currently available, work study opportunities are available on a competitive basis. You can find out more information by clicking here.

I am an international student applying from abroad. What do I need to do to get a student visa if I am accepted?

International students must submit the required documentation for student visas when applying for the MSc Materials Science program. International students will submit two sets of documents:
- admission requirements for the MSc Materials Science program.
- required documents for the student visa.
Please note that international applicants who do not already live in Qatar will not be required to submit a health certificate or photocopy of the applicant’s Qatar ID card to apply for the program. (Admitted international students will obtain these documents once in Doha).

Can I live in student housing?

Yes, QU offers graduate housing in male and female dormitories.

What is the program's tuition?

Tuition fees for the Materials Science Master Program is a total of QR 70,000 for the two-year program. Financial support will be provided to selected students (Conditions apply). Tuition fees for students enrolled in all Master Programs is QR 2000 per credit hour.
